2017 Adult Mission Team/Shirt Contest

    Shirt Design Competition info below.

Adult Missions would like to wish you the best of luck in March to all of you. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. The weather has been wild and wonderful so far this year, but the next couple months may surprise us and bring the white stuff that we haven’t seen much of. So, be sure to enjoy the good and bad weather.

We are calling all artists to bring us your design for a new Bethany t-shirt. Have an idea, please turn it in, you never know who will win and what the design will be. You have until the end of the month to come up with a good idea to submit. Put your thinking caps on and turn it in to the welcome center area. The mission team will pick the top 3 and then the congregation will vote on the winner. Then the design will be put on t-shirts and sweatshirts available for your purchase.

On Monday, March 20th, the Adult Missions Team will be hosting the Food Pantry meal. We will be serving soup and sandwiches. Children’s Ministry and BUM Youth will be making sandwiches and desserts for this meal. If you are able to donate a crockpot of soup or time to work the meal, please contact Lori Mooney, Brownsugarcookie@yahoo.com or 820-7394. The meal would be from 4-5:30 while the Food Pantry is open. We would need help from 3:30-6 for setup and clean up. If other committees or small groups would like to help host a Food Pantry meal, please contact Beth Metcalfe, bmetcalfe10@gmail.com.

The Adult Missions will be joining forces with the BUM Youth Mission trip this year. Anyone wanting to attend a mission trip this summer, please plan on going on the Youth Mission trip on July 16th- 22nd to Plymouth, NC and working with CROSS. Last year was my first year being able to attend a mission trip and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it. The work is so meaningful to the families that need it and the personal growth that you get out of it is amazing. Please think on this and pray about going with us this year. Please contact Maggie Rhodes, r.maggieanne@gmail.com, with any questions or if you would like to go. We had 30 youth and adults last year, let’s see if we can hit 50 people going this year.

If you know of someone in need, please let Maggie or Lori know. Our Mission team is here to help the people that need it. Keep your eyes and ears open.
