Serving Our Neighbors
Bethany serves our neighbors through local mission projects. Many times throughout the year you will find us repairing a roof, building a wheel-chair ramp, serving meals at Valley Mission or making improvements at our local United Methodist retreat center, Camp Overlook. We take on special projects for neighbors in need, and we also work with local organizations like Rebuilding Together, a national organization that performs critical home repairs for low income, elderly, disabled or disadvantaged homeowners in the community. Questions? Ideas? Comments? Contact Lori Mooney (Brownsugarcookie@yahoo.com) or Maggie Rhodes (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Bethany is such a giving and loving church. We thank you for all that you contribute in any way that you can. Please keep an open heart all throughout the year and help out when and where you can. Everyone has a calling, so please listen for yours. Still keep eyes and ears open for those in need. If you know of someone, please pass their name onto Maggie Rhodes or Lori Mooney.
TO HONOR VETERANS
On Sunday, November 12 we will be having one service at 10am and then a giving mission project. We want to use anysoldier.com to send items to units across the globe that will help show a soldier our support! We will also be taking money donations that can be used to send a soldier a year subscription of Guideposts ($10) or give to Wounded Warriors, woundedwarriorproject.org. Over the next month or so, please donate the following items for this day of giving; there will be a labelled box in the gathering space:
toothpaste(regular and sensitive), toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, bar soap, body wash, Q-tips, feminine hygiene products, dental floss, body lotion, suntan lotion, hand wipes, face wipes, Clorox wipes, lip balm, laundry soap pods, fabric softener, crackers, chips, microwave popcorn, fruit snacks, candy individually wrapped-no chocolate, pretzels, trail mix, mixed nuts, beef jerky, energy bars, powdered drink mixes, coffee, tea, variety K-cups, etc.
